West Ham have made signing Wilfried Bony or Christian Benteke a priority if they fail to land their first-choice target in the summer, reports The Daily Mirror.
Slaven Bilic is looking to sign a high-profile striker in the summer for when he takes West Ham into the Olympic Stadium next season.
The Hammers have been heavily linked with a move for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi and the Belgium striker remains their No.1 target for the summer.
However, the east London outfit are expected to face heavy competition from rivals Tottenham and Bilic is already putting plans in to place if they miss out on Batshuayi, with Bony and Benteke topping the list of potential alternatives.
Neither Bony nor Benteke are first choice at their respective clubs and could be available in the summer, where wholesale changes are expected at both of their teams.
Despite struggling to nail down a starting berth under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, only Roberto Firmino (8) has scored more league goals than Benteke (7) this season, whereas at City, Bony has only started 10 league games this season and is in danger of dropping below 19-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho in the pecking order.
