Paris Saint-Germain want Chelsea forward

Paris Saint-Germain are expected to rekindle their interest in Chelsea winger Willian in the summer, claims The Daily Mirror.

Willian emerged as a late transfer target for PSG in the January window but Chelsea rebuffed their approach for the Brazil international.

The 30-year-old has been heavily linked with moves to Manchester United and Barcelona in the last 18 months, though both appear to have cooled their interest.

Willian’s current Chelsea deal is due to expire in the summer of 2020 and Maurizio Sarri’s side are unlikely to hand him a new deal.

Chelsea are usually quite strict on new contracts they over to players aged over 30 and PSG’s interest in Willian could work in their favour.

With 12 months left to run on his current deal at the end of the season, Chelsea would still be able to command a fee from PSG.

However, Chelsea are also set to lose Eden Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the summer and Willian’s departure would only add to the upheaval at the club.

Only Hazard (65) has registered more key passes than Willian (61) in the Premier League this season.
