Bayern Munich have announced they have signed Spartak Moscow defender Serdar Tasci on loan until the end of the season.
Pep Guardiola has made the move after finding out he will be without star defender Jerome Boateng for the next three months with a groin injury.
Tasci, 28, boasts a wealth of experience in the Bundesliga having spent seven years as a first-team member for Stuttgart prior to joining Spartak Moscow in 2013.
“We’re delighted at the opportunity to bring a like Serdar Tasci to FC Bayern at short notice,” Bayern’s sporting direct Matthias Sammer told their official website. “Thanks to his quality and experience, he’s in a position to help us at once.”
Tasci had started in 16 of Spartak’s 18 league fixtures this season but hasn’t featured for more than two months because of the winter break in Russia.
Of Spartak players to have started more than two league matches this season, no one has a higher pass success rate than Tasci (87.5%).
