Robben’s No.10 shirt offered to Hudson-Odoi by Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich have gone on the charm offensive in their pursuit of Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, claims The Sun.
Bayern have already had two bids for Hudson-Odoi rejected by Chelsea but the Bundesliga champions have increased their offer for £30m.
Hudson-Odoi has entered the final 18 months of his current Chelsea deal and has so far refused to pledge his long-term future to the club.
The 18-year-old offered a timely reminder of his potential by turning in a match-winning performance in Chelsea’s FA Cup third round triumph against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Bayern, however, are determined to prise Hudson-Odoi away from Chelsea this month and are reportedly even willing to hand the teenager Arjen Robben’s No.10 shirt next season.
Robben will leave Bayern at the end of the current campaign and in a huge show of faith the German giants are willing to hand the Dutchman’s number to Hudson-Odoi.
Hudson-Odoi was tipped for a breakthrough season this year after impressing during pre-season but he has only made one substitute appearance in the Premier League thus far.
Of players that have made at least three appearances in the Europa League this season, only Alen Halilovic (6.1) averages more dribbles per 90 than Hudson-Odoi (5.8).
