Everton team news: Coleman returns for the Toffees

Everton manager Sam Allardyce has named Seamus Coleman in the starting XI for Wednesday night’s clash with Leicester.

Coleman has been sidelined for the last 10 months after suffering a horrific leg break on international duty with Ireland back in March 2017.

The 29-year-old returned to training earlier this month and stepped up his recovery for Everton’s underage side and has now handed Allardyce a huge boost.

Everton have sorely missed Coleman’s attacking endeavours on the right hand side of their defence and his return is great news for the Toffees.

Allardyce’s side are winless in their last seven matches and Coleman’s return is exactly the boost they need to try and arrest their slump in form.

January signing Cenk Tosun drops to the bench for Wednesday’s home game against Leicester after struggling to make a real impact during his first two appearances for the club.

Everton spent just shy of £30m to sign the Turkey international at the start of the month but he only managed two shots in his first two matches.
