Chelsea leading Manchester United and Arsenal for Juventus outcast

Chelsea are leading Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus outcast Federico Bernardeschi, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian moved to the Old Lady from rivals Fiorentina in 2017, yet has failed to command a regular starting spot for the Serie A powerhouse under both Max Allegri and now former Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.

And it's increased the possibilty that the 26-year-old will leave the Italian side this summer, with the player himself admitting a move to the Premier League appeals to him.

That's put Chelsea, United and Arsenal on red alert, with the trio each aiming to land a new winger in the off-season.

Chelsea and United have been linked with a move for Jadon Sancho, though the latter are the frontrunners to land the Borussia Dortmund star, while Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is looking to bring in another wide player to ease the possible departures of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

However, the Blues hold an advantage in that Juventus head coach Sarri is seeking to lure a couple of Chelsea stars back to Italy, with the experienced Italian keen to reunite with Jorginho and Emerson.

Bernardeschi is eager on more playing time ahead of next summer's rearranged European Championship and is set to drop behind Dejan Kulusevski in the Juventus pecking order, which may force the Italy international to seek regular game time elsewhere.
