Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is obsessed with the idea of bringing Barcelona forward Neymar to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
Perez is reportedly hoping to lure the Brazil international to Madrid in much the same way they have managed to poach the likes of Luis Figo and Michael Laudrup from their La Liga rivals in the past.
According to the reports, Perez has been trying to set up a meeting with Neymar’s father to explore the possibility of striking a deal, but has not made a breakthrough with Neymar committed to Barcelona, the club of his dreams.
Neymar, 23, has been regularly linked with a move away from Barcelona in recent months, but mainly with a move to Manchester United.
The Brazilian superstar has been in sublime form this season and is currently the highest rated player, according to WhoScored.com (8.78), having played a direct part in 19 league goals in 13 appearances (14 goals + 5 assists)
