Hull striker out for a month

Hull City have confirmed they will be without Abel Hernandez for up to a month with a groin injury.

Hernandez, 26, has spent the last two years with the Tigers after a £10m switch from Palermo in 2014.

The Uruguayan striker lasted just nine minutes of Hull’s dramatic 2-1 win over Southampton at the weekend before being forced off after picking up a groin injury.

Mike Phelan’s side have now confirmed Hernandez will miss the next month of action, ruling the striker out of must win matches against Sunderland, West Brom, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace.
