Chelsea man keen on Spain return

Chelsea striker Diego Costa is looking to move back to Atletico Madrid, reports Spanish publication AS.

The Spain international is hoping to bring his stay in Chelsea to an end, with his first team place under threat following the big money arrival of Michy Batshuayi.

A return to Atletico Madrid has been mooted, where Costa scored 27 league goals in his final season to help secure the La Liga title.

However, recently appointed Blues boss Antonio Conte is hoping to retain Costa’s services this summer as he aims to re-establish Chelsea are England’s dominant side.

Costa netted 12 goals and registered a further six assists in a disappointing campaign for the Blues, who lost their Premier League title to Leicester.
