Klopp angered after missing out on Championship star

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is fuming with his scouting team after watching Oliver Burke leave Nottingham Forest for Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, according to The Sun, via The Daily Mirror.

Burke, 19, became the most expensive Scottish footballer of all-time when he sealed a shock £13m move to Germany before the transfer window closed on Wednesday.

Klopp had identified the midfielder as one for the future and wanted to bring the teenager to Liverpool, but was reportedly left furious after watching him slip through the net.

Before moving to Leipzig, no player had directly contributed to more goals in the Championship than Burke (5 – four goals, one assist).
