Leicester City have failed in their attempts to sign AC Milan striker M’baye Niang, according to Sky Italia.
The Foxes reportedly tabled a £11.4m bid for the Milan striker on Thursday after missing out on Sampdoria striker Eder to Inter.
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has been keen to sign a new striker to help ease the goalscoring burden on Jamie Vardy, but may now have to look for alternative targets after hitting a big hurdle in their pursuit of the 21-year-old Milan striker.
Milan have reportedly frozen the sale of Niang and it’s not known whether they will sanction the sale before the transfer window closes on Monday.
Niang has featured sporadically for Milan since joining in 2012 and has only started nine league games for the giants this season.
Since the start of the season, only two Milan players have had more unsuccessful touches in Serie A, despite featuring in less than half of their league games.
