Lingard to pen new United deal

Jesse Lingard looks set to put pen to paper on a new four-year deal for Manchester Uniter, reports the Sun.

The English winger made a strong start to the season with a man of the match showing in United’s Community Shield win over Leicester last month.

However, Lingard has since registered just 45 minutes of Premier League action this term and was hauled off at the interval in the club’s recent 2-1 Manchester Derby defeat to Manchester City.

The 23-year-old currently has two years left to run on his current contract and has been in talks with the club over an extension for the last three weeks.

United are also set to offer striker Marcus Rashford a new deal in the coming weeks.
