Borussia Dortmund make Alcacer’s Barcelona switch permanent

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed they have made Paco Alcacer’s loan switch from Barcelona permanent after just four months at the club.

Alcacer has been a revelation for Dortmund so far this season and the Bundesliga side have wrapped up his services for an initial €23m fee that could eventually rise to €30m.

The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Dortmund running until the summer of 2023.

“I am very happy in Dortmund, at BVB and in this wonderful team,” Alcacer told the club’s official website.

Alcacer failed to make any impression during his stint at Barcelona but Dortmund appeared to have picked up the striker for a snip.

The Spain international has struggled with niggling injuries this season, limiting him to just two starts and four appearances from the bench in La Liga.

Nevertheless, only Luka Jovic (9) has scored more Bundesliga goals than Alcacer (8) this season.
