Everton will listen to offers for Tottenham and Manchester United target

Everton appear to have given up hope on tying Tottenham and Manchester United target Ross Barkley down to a new contract, but value the midfielder at £50m, reports the Daily Mirror.

The Toffees have been left frustrated in their efforts to extend the youngster's contract, despite repeated attempts to convince Barkley that his future is best served at Goodison Park and have offered a cub-record £100,000-a-week deal to convince him to stay.

Everton, though, are now prepared to sanction the sale of the 23-year-old, but only if their £50m valuation is met this summer.

Tottenham looked to be leading the race for his signature, while Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the England international, yet the price tag could deter the pair from making a move for Barkley.

Indeed, Everton would rather see him leave on a free in 2018 rather than make anything less than the asking price for the player.

Barkley enjoyed a commendable campaign for Everton, with 84 key passes the fifth best return in the Premier League this season.
