Inter have confirmed they have appointed former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte as Luciano Spalletti’s successor.
The Serie A giants sacked Spalletti on Thursday after two years at the helm following weeks of speculation linking Conte with the job.
Conte has been out of work since being sacked as Chelsea manager at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
The 49-year-old last managed domestically in Italy at Juventus in 2014 before taking up a job with the Italy national team.
Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first season in charge of the club before landing the FA Cup in his second.
The Italian, who has signed a three-year deal with Inter, has already earmarked Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku as his top transfer target after failing to sign the Belgium international at Chelsea.
Inter qualified for next season’s Champions League on the final weekend of the 2018/19 campaign to boost their chances of landing Conte’s top targets.
Conte had a win ratio of 67.4% during his time at Juventus and already has the perfect defenders at Inter to set up in his preferred back three.
