Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is eyeing a move for free agent Martin Caceres, according the London Evening Standard.
Caceres, 29, has been a free agent since being released by Juventus at the end of last season and Conte would be interested in signing the defender if he can prove his fitness.
The experienced Uruguay international hasn’t featured competitively since injuring his Achilles in February but has attracted interest from Roma and Inter.
Caceres has only started 37 league games in the last five seasons and any move to Chelsea would entirely rest on whether he can prove he is over his injury concerns.
