Former Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has signed a new four-year deal at Swansea City, the club has announced.
Fabianski, 30, only joined the Swans last summer but has been rewarded with a new deal following an impressive first season at the Liberty City Stadium.
“I am very happy here,” the Pole told Swansea’s official website. “Right from the very first day, everyone has been very nice to me and they’ve helped me settle in quickly.
“For me it is a great place to work and continue improving as a player. I want to improve personally and as a group we have the same mentality.
“It’s a great group to be a part of. Everyone is working in the same direction and we have a great understanding between each other.
“The way the manager sets up the whole environment is very good. He puts everything in place so that a player can concentrate fully on improving himself.
“It’s another chapter for me. I must forget about what happened last year as I am focusing and preparing for the new season.”
Fabianski’s performances between the sticks were enough to earn him a place in WhoScored’s statistically calculated Premier League team of the season last year (7.09).
Furthermore, no goalkeeper successfully claimed more catches than Fabianski (88) last season.
