City star lands Premier League Player of the Month award

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been named the Barclays Player of the Month award for April, the Premier League has announced.

Aguero was in sublime form last month as he fired seven goals in just five appearances.

The Argentina international scored against every opponent he faced, as City won four and drew one of their fixtures in April.

The 27-year-old even netted a hat-trick against Chelsea, which was his fifth for City but only his first away from home.

Aguero has now pulled level with Jamie Vardy on 24 league goals for the campaign and both men are now only one goal behind Harry Kane (25) in the race to finish as the top goalscorer in the league.
