Swansea had a €20m (£16.8m) bid for defender Terence Kongolo rejected by Feyenoord on deadline day, according to Belgium newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.
Kongolo, 22, has made a fine start to the new Eredivisie season and his performances seemingly caught the eye of Swansea, who looked to bolster their offensive options.
Feyenoord, however, didn’t want to do business with Swansea so late into the window despite a record bid for the Holland defender.
Kongolo has completed more interceptions than any other Feyenoord player so far this season (12).
