Paris Saint-Germain keen on shock move for Chelsea outcast

Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a surprise move to land Chelsea outcast midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, claims Le 10 Sport.

Chelsea shelled out £40m to sign Bakayoko from Monaco in the summer of 2017 but the former France international has endured a torrid spell with the Blues.

Bakayoko was shipped out on loan to AC Milan last season and is currently back at former club Monaco until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has made just 29 league appearances for Chelsea since his big money arrival and has no future under Frank Lampard.

Bakayoko will only have two years left to run on his current Chelsea deal this summer and the Blues are desperate to offload the midfielder permanently at the end of the season.

Despite the fact his reputation has diminished substantially in recent years, PSG are ready to hand Bakayoko a way out of his Chelsea misery.

Monaco have an option in their loan deal to make Bakayoko's switch permanent for at least €30m (£26.2m) but PSG are ready to pounce if their rivals opt against signing him.

Bakayoko, who was born in Paris, has started 20 league matches for Monaco this season and is the club's third highest (15+ appearances) WhoScored rated player (7.05) in Ligue 1 this season.
