Torino midfielder emerges as a serious target for Tottenham
Tottenham are looking to firm up their rumoured interest in Torino midfielder Soualiho Meite this summer, reports Football Italia.
The 25-year-old has impressed in his debut season in Italy having joined from Monaco last summer.
His performances in the middle of the park for Torino have caught the eye of Tottenham, who will look to make midfield additions this summer.
Spurs are short of midfield options at present following the departure of Mousa Dembele and injuries to starters Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko as they seek a top-four finish and the Champions League.
And Meite has emerged as a serious target for Mauricio Pochettino’s side as Torino chase fourth in Serie A.
Torino host AC Milan in Serie A’s evening kick off, with Meite expected to start for the Turin outfit.
The Italian side will be reluctant to cash in on one of their prized assets, but stand to make a hefty profit on the 25-year-old should they elect to sell.
Meite has scored two goals and registered two assists for Torino this season to return a WhoScored rating of 6.82.
