Liverpool given injury boost ahead of Premier League return

Liverpool have been handed a boost ahead of their Premier League encounter with Leicester City on Saturday after Sadio Mane came through his injury scare unscathed, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Mane picked up a suspected knee injury while on international duty with Senegal during their 2-0 win over Namibia.

It had been feared that the 24-year-old would miss Liverpool’s match against the reigning Premier League champions at the weekend but Jurgen Klopp has been assured by Mane he is 100 per cent fit.

Since August 2014 only two players have been fouled more times in the Premier League than Mane (154).
