Mourinho makes decision over future of Tottenham's club-record buy

Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho is prepared to give club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele another chance to prove his worth to the club, according to The Daily Star.

Ndombele joined Spurs from Lyon last summer for £65m, but his debut season has failed to live up to expectations due to injuries and fitness concerns.

Mourinho, who succeeded Mauricio Pochettino in November, has publicly criticised the youngster and questioned his commitment, which has seen Ndombele linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, despite a sub-par debut season in England, Mourinho is prepared to hand the 23-year-old a second chance at Spurs.

Mourinho believes that once he is fully settled and has had a full pre-season under the Portuguese boss, Ndombele will be a huge asset for Spurs.

Supporters are desperate to see Ndombele come good at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, so this news will come as a boost to fans.

The France international has had a direct hand in six goals in the league and Champions League this season, scoring twice.
