Rodriguez reveals January offers

James Rodriguez has revealed he could leave Real Madrid in January and will spent the remainder of 2016 weighing up the offers he has already received.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Madrid for the past 12 months after dropping down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane.

Rodriguez has previously been tipped with a move to a variety of Premier League clubs and the Colombia international has conceded for the first time that his future could be away from the European champions after receiving offers from other clubs for a January move.

“Things are not going as I would want,” ESPN quote Rodriguez as saying after Madrid’s Club World Cup win at the weekend. “But I have had offers and I have these seven days [over the winter break] to think well about everything.

“I want to stay, but you must think about scoring everything. I cannot assure you what will happen, as I want to play more. I want to play more. I am happy here, everybody around me too, I like the city.

“But if I am not playing, I must think about it all and look for a way out.”

Rodriguez reveals January offers

Rodriguez has only started four league games this season and has been forced to make as many appearances from the bench. Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have all previously been linked with the former Monaco star and the trio could rekindle their interest if he does become available next month.

Of players to have started at least 10 La Liga games in the last three seasons no player has required fewer minutes per key chance created than Rodriguez (1 every 28.5 mins).
