Manchester United want Grealish deal done before season ends
Manchester United have stepped up plans to sign Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish, claims the Manchester Evening News.
Grealish has emerged as a top transfer target for United and the Red Devils want to get a deal over the line before Euro 2020.
The Villa captain has really kicked on since the turn of the year and is pushing to make Gareth Southgate's England squad for this summer's major tournament.
Villa are bracing themselves for interest in Grealish this summer and are resigned to losing their talisman if they are relegated from the Premier League.
United are determined to get their business done early this summer to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the perfect opportunity to spring a title challenge next season.
Solskjaer's side are aware a good showing at Euro 2020 would enhance Grealish's reputation and enable Villa to demand more money.
Beating the drop would enable Villa to command in the region of £80m for their captain while relegation would reduce their bargaining hand significantly.
Grealish has played a direct hand in 13 goals in 25 league appearances this season (seven goals, six assists) and is the most fouled player in Europe's top 5 leagues (122).
