Mourinho drops hint on Paul Pogba’s Manchester United future

Jose Mourinho has clarified Manchester United are not looking to sell Paul Pogba this summer.

The France international has been heavily linked with move away from United in recent months after dropping out of favour under Mourinho since the turn of the year.

Mino Raiola has reportedly even offered his client to a number of European heavyweights but Mourinho has refuted claims he wants Pogba to leave.

“I think he’s going to be here next season,” BBC Sport quote Mourinho as saying. “That’s my feeling..

“I can give the guarantee that I don’t want him to leave, that the club doesn’t want to sell him, and I can give you the guarantee that we don’t have any approach from him or his agent or from any club.

“In this moment, he’s staying, yes.”

Pogba’s performances for United have been heavily criticised since he returned to Old Trafford two years ago for a club-record €100m fee.

The 25-year-old has also struggled with hamstring injuries since the start of last season, but has still weighed in with an impressive tally of goals and assists this term.

Despite only making 25 appearances in the Premier League this season, the United No.6 has played a direct hand in 16 goals for the Red Devils (six goals, 10 assists).
