Juventus midfielder signs new deal

Juventus have announced Sami Khedira has signed a two-year contract extension with an option to a further 12 months.

Khedira’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign and there were reports linking him with a move away from the club.

The 31-year-old ruled out a move to MLS during the summer and has now signed off his best remaining years to Juventus.

Max Allegri’s side signed Emre Can from Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer after earmarking the 24-year-old as Khedira’s long-term replacement.
