Bournemouth have announced manager Eddie Howe has signed an extension on his current deal.
Howe took Bournemouth to the Premier League last season and has since become the club’s most successful ever manager.
The 37-year-old has been touted as a future England manager and the club are “delighted” he has decided to have committed his future to the Cherries.
“I am delighted that Eddie has committed his future to the club,” owner Maxim Demin told the club’s official website.
“Eddie and I have a very close relationship, we speak everyday and we trust each other implicitly when making decisions that affect the football club.
“The mutual respect we have for each other has helped create a unique bond at the top of the club and has acted as the foundation for all our recent successes.
“Together we have managed to achieve a great deal in a short space of time, and I have complete faith in Eddie and his management to establish AFC Bourneouth in the Premier League over the coming seasons.”
Howe has his work cut out to keep Bournemouth away from the relegation zone this season after losing three of his biggest players to long-term knee injuries this season.
The Cherries are currently four points off the bottom three but will have to navigate through the remainder of the season without Max Gradel, Callum Wilson and Tyrone Mings.
