Morgan Schneiderlin will likely complete his move to Manchester United in the coming days.
The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, while Arsenal had been credited with an interest in the midfielder.
United look to have won the race to sign the Frenchman, however, after Louis van Gaal's side and Southampton came to an agreement over the 25-year-old.
Schneiderlin will now undergo a medical at Carrington before completing his move to the 2012/13 Premier League champions and linking up with his teammates ahead of their pre-season tour of the United States.
The France international's departure will certainly come as a blow to Southampton. Schneiderlin was Saints' highest rated player (7.51) last season, which was enough to rank in the top 10 Premier League players.
