Burnley-Manchester United team news: Shaw demoted once again

Ashley Young has returned to the Manchester United line-up following a three-match suspension, meaning Luke Shaw is dropped to the bench once more.

Elsewhere the Red Devils are unchanged, with Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial lining up behind Romelu Lukaku, so Marcus Rashford also has to make do with a role as a substitute.

Burnley, meanwhile, make one change of their own from the 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace, with Scott Anfield replacing Sam Vokes. Ashley Barnes, who scored the early opener when these two sides shared the spoils at Old Trafford on Boxing Day, will lead the line.

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is on the bench once more following his loan move from Tottenham, but the big transfer news ahead of kick-off ensures that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is not in the squad for the visitors.

The Armenian is closing in on a move to Arsenal in a deal that will see Alexis Sanchez signed for United. The Chilean will be a keen spectator from a far this afternoon.
