Goncalo Guedes is unsure whether he even has a future at Paris Saint-Germain despite making a sensational start to life on loan at Valencia.
Valencia captured the highly-rated 20-year-old on a season-long loan deal over the summer and Guedes has played a pivotal part in the club’s rise to second in the table.
The arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar prompted Guedes to seek first-team football away from PSG and the Portugal international admits he’s unsure whether there is any way back into Unai Emery's side.
“It is always good that top teams show an interest in my work although I do not know anything about my future,” ESPN quote Guedes as saying. “I do not know what is going to happen [next season] but I would like to remain at Valencia.
“I am very happy here and I have been treated very well.”
Valencia do not have the option to make Guedes’ switch permanent and if he continues to perform in this manner then they may struggle to prise him back to the Mestalla for next season.
His value will only continue to soar with more good performances and that will only bring interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
In eight La Liga appearances this season, the Valencia No.7 has scored three goals and registered five assists. In fact, only Lionel Messi (8.93) has secured a higher WhoScored rating than Guedes (7.73) in Spain this season.
