Fenerbahce have confirmed they have in deal in place for the signing of Nani from Manchester United, pending a medical.
The Portuguese winger spent last season on loan with Sporting Lisbon and despite impressing for the Sportinguistas, he was deemed surplus to requirements by manager Louis van Gaal.
The 28-year-old averaged more key passes per game (3.4) in the Champions League last term, so his capture is seen as a real coup for Fenerbahce.
Nani will now fly to Turkey on Sunday for his medical before putting pen to paper for his new club.
His departure marks the second high profile exit from United this summer, after the 13-time Premier League champions opted against renewing Tom Cleverley’s contract, who subsequently joined Everton after spending last season on loan with Aston Villa.
