Lambert seals WBA move

West Bromwich Albion have signed Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert on an undisclosed fee, the club has confirmed.

Lambert, 33, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at the Hawthorns, ending his 12-month spell at Liverpool.

The former Southampton striker could even make his debut for the Baggies on Friday evening after being included in Tony Pulis’ squad to face Bristol Rovers.

“Rickie is a good, strong, solid player who is a great character, good in the dressing room and good on the pitch,” Pulis told West Brom’s official website.

“We are very pleased to have him on board. He’s a player of great pedigree and we look forward to integrating him into our squad.”
