Luiz concerned about returning to Paris

Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz admits if he was up to him then he would not return to the French capital following a series of devastating terrorist attacks on Friday.

Luiz, 28, is currently on international duty with Brazil but is due to return to France after their World Cup qualifier with Peru on Tuesday evening.

Paris was left in a state of shock following a series of coordinated attacks on the French capital killed 132 people and Luiz concedes he would prefer not to return.

“I have my girlfriend and some family and friends in Paris, Luiz is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. “They were all very sad and scared. I don’t know what I’m going to do and whether I will head back.

“Playing for PSG is my job but if it were up to me then I would not go back.”

Luiz concerned about returning to Paris

Laurent Blanc’s side will not resume their league campaign until November 21 where they will start 10 points clear of their nearest challengers. They are not due to play at the Parc des Princes stadium until the end of November.

Since the start of the season, only PSG teammate Angel di Maria (8) has completed more through balls than Luiz (5) in Ligue 1.
