Leicester have confirmed the arrival of Atalanta defender Timothy Castagne in a deal reportedly worth €24m (£21.4m).
Castagne has put pen to paper on a five-year deal running until the summer of 2025 with Brendan Rodgers' side.
Leicester were locked in talks with Atalanta over the Belgium international for a number of weeks but have finally got a deal over the line.
Capable of playing in both full-back positions, Castange found himself stuck behind both Hans Hateboer and Robin Gosens in each position at Atalanta last season.
The 24-year-old will more than likely serve as Ben Chilwell's replacement if they fail to get an out-and-out left-back in.
Rodgers already has James Justin to cover for Ricardo Pereira, who is only just coming back from a serious knee injury.
Castagne is the third Belgian Leicester have signed in the last 12 months alone following the arrivals of Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet.
Castagne has spent the last three seasons with Atalanta and in that time he has an impressive tackle success rate of 74.1%.
