Bacca could have joined Madrid, claims agent

Fifa agent Ernesto Bronzetti has claimed Real Madrid would have signed Carlos Bacca this summer had Carlo Ancelotti remained at the club.

The former Sevilla striker instead joined AC Milan after the Serie A giants matched the strikers €30m (£22m) release clause after snubbing interest from the Premier League.

However, Rafa Benitez replaced Ancelotti at the end of last season and the former Liverpool manager resisted the chance to strengthen his frontline with any significant additions.

“If Ancelotti had stayed at Madrid, he would’ve asked for Bacca,” he told Milan Channel.

Bacca is a striker who Ancelotti likes a lot and the first name Ancelotti would’ve requested Florentino [Perez] to bring in.”

The Colombia international has settled quickly having scored three goals already in Serie A, a feat that is only bettered by three other players thus far.
