West Ham are seeking to terminate Jack Wilshere's time at the London Stadium as he enters the final year of his contract, reports The Daily Mirror.
The midfielder moved to east London on a free in 2018, but injury issues have ravaged the 28-year-old.
Indeed, Wilshere has made just 16 league appearances in the last two season with injuries denting his chances of consolidating a regular spot in the Hammers XI.
Wilshere is fit to feature against Newcastle at home tonight, but head coach David Moyes is unlikely to call upon the former Arsenal man.
West Ham are now looking to cut ties with Wilshere before his deal comes to an end next year, with the Hammers looking to save on his £100,000-a-week contract.
The east London side are seeking to raise funds to bolster their backline, with Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski their top target.
However, West Ham are struggling to convince the Clarets their prized asset after seeing a £28m bid for Tarkowski rejected earlier this week.
