Matuidi tips Madrid boss for national success

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi has promoted the idea of Zinedine Zidane becoming France national team boss.

Didier Deschamps is currently in charge of Les Bleus and is expected to take his country into the 2018 World Cup.

However, while Matuidi is happy with the job Deschamps is doing, the 29-year-old is eager to see Zidane in charge of the national team.

“Zinedine Zidane is ready to coach France, yet right now Didier Deschamps is doing a good job too,” Marca quote him as saying. “Who knows what the future has in store, but Zidane is ready and at one of the best clubs in the world."

Zidane is one of France’s most capped players and has also enjoyed success after turning his hand to management. The 44-year-old led Real Madrid to Champions League glory in his first season in charge last season and has only lost two of his 38 matches in charge.
