Chelsea's £50m bid for England international dismissed
West Ham insist they have not received a £50m bid from Chelsea for Declan Rice and have no intention of selling the midfielder, claims Sky Sports.
Chelsea want to re-sign Rice this summer after letting the England international leave at the age of 14.
Frank Lampard reportedly wants to convert Rice into a centre-back to ease Chelsea's woes at the back but West Ham are ready to dig their heels in.
Reports emerged at the start of the week claiming Chelsea had lodged a £50m bid for the 21-year-old but those claims have been rebuffed by West Ham.
Rice still has four years left to run on his existing West Ham contract and the Hammers have an option for a further 12 months.
West Ham believe Rice is worth far more than £50m and would laugh off any formal offer in that region.
Rice didn't miss a single minute of Premier League action in 2019/20 and ranked fourth in the division for most possession won in the midfield third (154).
