Lazio are interested in signing Werder Bremen star Serge Gnabry this month, reports Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia.
Gnabry only joined Bremen in the summer after managing to prize the youngster away from Arsenal and his terrific performances this season have already earned him international recognition with the Germany senior team.
The 21-year-old scored a hat-trick on his senior debut for Germany earlier this season and now Lazio are keen in securing his services during the winter transfer window and are reportedly willing to match his €8m (£6.8m) release clause.
It would represent a hammer blow for Bremen, who are only three points above the final relegation spot and are heavily relying on Gnabry’s quality already.
In fact, all six of Gnabry’s league goals have come away from home this season, which is a priceless trait for a team struggling at the bottom of the table - only Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored more away from home (9) in the Bundesliga this season.
