Liverpool maintain Lacazette interest

Liverpool may still move for Lyon star striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to reports in L'Equipe on Wednesday morning.

Lyon are keen to tie the France international to a new contract, with his current deal expiring in 2018.

Lacazette, however, is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal, despite the club's best efforts.

Liverpool have long been linked with a move for the 24-year-old, who is one of a number of striking targets for the Reds.

Christian Benteke and Salomon Rondon have both been mooted with potential switches to Anfield.

Lyon are understandably keen to retain the services of Lacazette after he scored more goals (27) than any other player in Ligue 1 last season.
