Bournemouth boss Howe set for bumper new deal

Eddie Howe will be rewarded with a new double-your-money contract by Bournemouth following the club's impressive start to the season, claims The Daily Mirror.

The 40-year-old has worked wonders at Bournemouth during his six years at the club, guiding the Cherries into the Premier League in 2015.

Bournemouth have avoided relegation since then and are currently sixth in the Premier League after four matches.

Howe, who has been tipped as a future England manager, is now poised to become one of the best-paid English managers in the Premier League.

Bournemouth are ready to hand Howe a new long-term deal worth £4m-a-year, doubling his current salary.

The Cherries have only lost one of their opening four Premier League matches and have a kind run of fixtures after the international break.

Bournemouth aren't scheduled to play one of last season's top-six until welcoming Manchester United at the start of November.

Since returning to Dean Court in 2012, Howe has a win ratio of 43.6% in all competitions.
