Watford reading to cash in on striker

Watford are prepared to sell star striker Odion Ighalo for just £10m in the summer alerting potential suitors, claims The Daily Mail.

Ighalo, 26, only turned down a £40m offer from China last summer to remain in the Premier League with Watford but the Hornets have already lined up Granada striker Isaac Success as a possible replacement for the striker.

The Nigeria international took to the Premier League like duck to water at the start of the season and his early season form had seen him linked with high profile moves to the likes of Manchester United.

However, his form in front of goal has tailed off dramatically since the turn of the year and his failure to find the back of the net has unsurprisingly coincided with Watford’s downturn in form that has left manager Quique Sanchez Flores fighting for his job.

Ighalo is Watford’s top goalscorer in the league (14) but he has only scored one goal in the league in 2016. He has weighed in with a greater proportion of his teams goals than any other player in the Premier League this season (42%).
