Maddison to snub Manchester United for Leicester stay

James Maddison has told Leicester he wants to stay at the club and will turn down any advances from the likes of Manchester United, reports The Sun.

Maddison is a target for a number of the Premier League’s top-six clubs this summer after impressing in his maiden top-flight campaign.

United were recently linked with a £60m move for the England Under-21 international but Maddison is not thinking about leaving Leicester.

Maddison still has four years left to run on his current £50,000-a-week Leicester contract and is even open to the idea of prolonging his deal.

The 22-year-old played a direct hand in 14 Premier League goals last season (seven goals, seven assists) and was the only player in the division to register 100+ key passes.
