Werner snubs Bayern Munich for Klopp link-up at Liverpool
Timo Werner will not leave RB Leipzig for Bayern Munich or any other Bundesliga side and only has eyes on working with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, claims Bild.
The Germany international has been in sensational goalscoring form for RB Leipzig this season and is widely expected to make a high profile move away this summer.
Bayern have been tracking the 24-year-old for the past 12 months but Werner ended up extending his Leipzig deal last summer over joining the Bundesliga giants.
Werner has a £54m release clause in his existing deal but it must be triggered by June 15 or Leipzig will be able to command what they want thereafter.
Liverpool are considering a move for Werner this summer in an attempt to bolster their offensive options for next season but will reportedly not make a move before his release clause expires.
Nevertheless, Werner has made it clear he only wants to join Liverpool this summer in a major dent to Bayern's transfer plans.
Werner has played a direct hand in 28 goals in 25 league appearances for Leipzig this season, making it the best league campaign of his career by two goal involvements.
