Tottenham win race for Southampton midfielder

Tottenham have beaten Leicester to the signing of Victor Wanyama, according to The Daily Mirror.

Wanyama, who turns 25 next week, is due to undergo his medical in the coming days after Spurs agreed an £11m fee for the Kenyan.

With only 12 months remaining on his existing deal, Wanyama has turned down Southampton’s latest offer and forced them to cash in on their asset rather than let him go for free next summer.

Leicester had shown an interest in the midfielder with fears of N’Golo Kante’s future at the Premier League champions but Tottenham have seemingly won the race for his signature.
