Tottenham outcast on Bournemouth's radar

Bournemouth are ready to hand Danny Rose a route out of his Tottenham misery, claims The Daily Mirror.

Rose has dropped completely out of favour under new Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho and wants to leave the club.

Newcastle have already been linked with a move for the former England international and now Bournemouth have entered the race for his signature.

Eddie Howe desperately wants new faces through the door to freshen things up in Bournemouth's bid to beat the drop.

The Cherries have huge injury problems, particularly in defence, and Howe has earmarked Rose as a top transfer target.

Rose was omitted from the squad in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Norwich and has now failed to make a matchday squad for three games running.

Jan Vertonghen has taken Rose's place at left-back, while young duo Japhet Tanganga and Ryan Sessegnon have leapfrogged the 29-year-old in the pecking order.

Rose has made 12 appearances in the Premier League this season but has only started once in the competition since Jose Mourinho was appointed manager in November.

Of Tottenham players that have started at least 10 games in the Premier League this season, Rose is their lowest WhoScored rated player (6.49).
