Real Madrid confident of convincing Tottenham star to leave
La Liga champions Real Madrid have made Tottenham striker Harry Kane their top priority next summer and are confident of sealing a deal, according to The Sun.
The 24-year-old has expressed his desire to establish himself among the world’s very best forwards and the European champions seem convinced that he is already of that standard.
It would take a monumental offer to persuade Tottenham to sanction a move but los Blancos are willing to test the Londoners resolve having prised star players away from White Hart Lane in the past.
Both Luka Modric and Gareth Bale have made the move from Spurs to the Bernabeu in recent years and Kane has said that he could ‘never say never’ when questioned as to whether a move abroad would appeal to him.
The England international has been the top scorer for the last two Premier League seasons running and has scored eleven more league goals in 2017 (27) than Cristiano Ronaldo (16).
