Borussia Dortmund have announced Roman Burki has signed a new two-year extension until June 2021.
Burki has spent the last two years at Dortmund and has established himself as the club’s No.1 goalkeeper in that time.
The Switzerland international’s previous deal was due to expire in 2019 but Dortmund have announced Burki has committed his future by a further two years.
“I am very happy with the confidence that Borussia Dortmund has given me in a difficult phase for me – and I am very happy and proud to be with this great team,” Burki told the club’s official website.
Dortmund are currently two points clear in the Bundesliga this season and boost the best defensive record in the league (five goals conceded).
In fact, Burki has kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the Bundesliga this season (5).
