Zlatan Ibrahimovic has refused to rule out a move to the Premier League when his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The 34-year-old has entered the final six months of his current deal at PSG and is tipped to leave the Ligue 1 champions after four years at the club, with a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United seemingly the most likely option.
Mourinho is widely expected to replace Louis van Gaal as United manager in the summer and the former Chelsea manager is reportedly already planning to revamp the current squad with several new additions.
Having achieved success in Italy, Spain and now France, the Sweden international has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League and he has revealed the door remains open to finally making the switch to England’s top-flight before he retires.
“I have another three months here and then what will happen? Big things will happen. Let’s see what happens,” said Ibrahimovic.
Quizzed on whether the Premier League is a viable option, Ibrahimovic added: “Lets just say I am in shape.”
Despite entering the final few years of his career, Ibrahimovic has shown no sign of letting up on his formidable goalscoring exploits.
In fact, the Swede has scored a staggering 28 goals in 33 appearances for PSG, although his record against English teams, which reads four goals in 19 appearances, could be cause for concern.
Moreover, of players to have scored at least five goals across Europe's top five leagues this season, only Karim Benzema (75.2 mins) requires fewer minutes per goal than Ibrahimovic (78.2 mins).
